Why this board?
« on: November 30, 2013, 01:14:47 PM »
Someone recently asked me "what's the most important thing you learned while building your Haven?"  I pthought about it and decided this question would make a good topic.  If you have completed your Haven, or are well along with it please share this information with the rest of The Forum followers.  You may have more than one answer and that's fine, share them.  If you used a book or a website to learn how to perform the operation or develop the skill, please share that information with us.  Post photos if you have them.

Personally, learning how to do a proper scarf is at the top of my list.  I learned how to do it at a Woodenboat School class on basic boatbuilding taught by John Karbot.

Coime on guys!  4 months and 237 views and no one has posted a reply with the most important thing they learned while building their Haven?

Curious minds would like to know!

Entries from the old Forum have been compiled into a "Variations From Plans" document which you can
download and print out as a Word document HERE.

Or you can view it as a web page at HERE

It is by no means complete. Send me an email or post here additional items which should be included in this document and it will be updated periodically. This document will allow new builders to benefit from our learning experiences and save them some grief!
